A picture is worth a thousand words...China Day 1

OK so lets face it if I were going to try and catch up writing everything for the last 7 months it would take LONG....much to LONG for a mama of four so I decided to recap in photos. Who wants to read that much anyways.
Day 1 China
Our Guide met us at the airport followed with a shotgun lesson in Chinese History and Mandarin.

A bit Jet lagged but if you travel half way across the world and only have one day free you've got to see the Great Wall jetlagged or not....

Headed to the top in a gondola

On the wall

Did I mention I am afraid of heights! Some of the wall is STEEP
It goes on and on and on.....

 Just in case.......

A view from a guard lookout on the wall

The Red Lanterns were still up from Chinese New Year.

After the wall we headed to the Olympic Village.

Water Cube where the water sports were held

The Birds Nest where the track and field events were held.

Happy New Year!!
