And finally...You might be adopting from China if you love someone you've never met with all your heart.
We will be getting on the plane late tomorrow night! It's so hard to believe that soon we will be meeting our daughter. We will be updating our travel journal at www.myadoptionwebsite.com/lia so you can follow us there. If I have access and a good Internet connection I will post extra pictures in the above photo tab under China Trip. Enjoy!!

That was - far and away - one of the finest posts I've ever read - and one that ANY adoptive parent can agree with! Great joy for you guys....fair winds and following seas -

O God, protect Your servants. Be for us a support when setting out, friendship along the way, a little shade from the sun, a mantle against cold and rain, a crutch on slippery paths, and a haven in shipwreck. Bear us up in fatigue, and defend us under attack. Under Your protection, let us fulfill the purpose for our trip and return safe and sound to our home. Amen.
ReplyDeleteHave a safe trip! Can't wait to meet Lia!! <3
i've only just recently stumbled on your blog and, as a parent precisely one week behind you in my adoption travel, especially enjoyed your humorous and apt count-down. lia looks like she will be a wonderful addition to your family. since i haven't scoured your blog, i don't know much about her, but i wanted you to be aware of a wonderful group, www.amcsupport.org, in case it pertains. i learned of the group when evaluating the referral of a little boy with arthrogryposis about a year ago. there's a lot of knowledge and support to be shared there. (if it's not relevant to your situation, please accept my apologies.) best of luck! - susan
ReplyDeleteGood luck on your trip. HOping for an uneventful, safe trip!
ReplyDeleteWe miss Lia so much. We talk about her everyday! Each time I heard a sassy little Chinese voice on the plane - I thought of her. Your family made our trip extra special. We are blessed to have met you and plan to keep in touch. We are home safe and sound - exhausted - but doing great. Love to all of you. The Lancasters
ReplyDeleteAmanda, I just wanted to thank you for all your help while we were in China. You brought us such peace regarding Libbie's condition. We will meet with our doctor next week. I really enjoyed meeting you and wish you all the blessings. Post how y'all are doing.
