45 Days!

Airlines…baggage restrictions… travel insurance….Oh MY!!! 45 Days and counting!!

Soon so very soon we will be boarding a big 747 that says
"To China or Bust" on the side of it!!

I'm feeling a frenzied, joyful, PANIC at the moment. Part of me can hardly wait to leave and the other part of me can't stand the idea of leaving my munchkin crew members behind! I get teary just thinking about it. We've never left them so this will be hard. I'm so grateful to know Jason will be with me during this crazy trip around the world and thank God daily for Skype!

We've pretty much nailed down our itinerary as follows:

Fly out of O'Hare--16 February 12:50 pm
Beijing arrival-- 17 February 4:30 pm
   Get to the Novatel Peace Hotel eat and sleep!!
Free Day--18 February
     What to see.... Tiananmen Square, Forbidden City,
     Summer Palace or The Great Wall?
Holt orientation--19 February Afternoon Free

Fly to Jinan-- 20 February
Gottcha Day!--21 February
Fast Train to Qingdao--22 February
Free Day--23 February
     (We hope to visit Qingdao orphanage and shopping to gather
       supplies for Lia)
Free Day--24 February
     (We hope to visit Qingdao aquarium)

Fly to Guangzhou--25 February
     Go to the Guangzhou Victory Hotel--Ahhh Soft beds!!
Medical Appiontment--26 February
Free Day--27 February
TB test reading--28 February
U.S. Consulate visa appointment--1 March
Free Day--2 March (Maybe Safari Zoo?)
Visa issued--3 March
First recommended U.S. return date--4 March
