Meet Lia

Lia is the beautiful little girl who will soon be a part of our family with the support of our family and friends. Jason and I are so incredibly blessed to welcome her into our home and offer her the life changing medical interventions she needs.

Lia was found at six months old. She is now a beautiful four (almost five) year old. She was born with club feet and radial club arms. Due to her condition she is not yet able to walk, cannot bend her elbows/wrists and is dependent for most of her self care skills. She's only had three other families look at her file in the past few years and all three have declined her.

Jason and I instantly fell in LOVE with her. How could you not. We just want to do everything we can to help this beautiful little girl. I know adoption is not for everyone. It's something Jason and I have been called to do for a long time now. We know we can offer Lia a loving family and the leading medical interventions she needs to grow and develop. As a pediatric Occupational Therapist we feel our home has a lot to offer little Lia.

The thing that weighs on our hearts is that we cannot fund her adoption by ourselves. We have to do something we are not good at. We have to swallow our pride and ask people to help us. Without the help of our friends and family we may not succeed in our journey for Lia.

We've already applied for adoption grant money which will help us fund $7,000 of this journey. After all the grant money is applied we will need to come up with $15,000 to fund Lia's adoption. We believe if she was meant to be ours the Lord will work a MIRACLE for us. We appreciate all your prayers and help bringing Lia home to a family who cannot imagine living without her. May the Lord bless you as we all try to work a MIRACLE for this precious little girl.

  4. Good luck and just stay patient. We are on adoption number 2 for our 12 year old daughter in China. While it is a crazy rise it is the most amazing feeling when your child finally enters the room. Looking forward to reading more

  5. I've only just found your post through the Rumor Queen site, but we are also adopting a girl (six years old) with untreated club feet. I have joined two yahoo! groups for parents of children with club feet, if you're interested.
