Leap of Faith

Can this really be happening? Years ago when I met Jason we talked at length about adopting a child. We both felt drawn to help. Believing there were so many children in the world who were in desperate need of a loving home. Our solution, get married, build a nest egg, have one child (or two, my hope) and then adopt a child (or two, OK my hope again!). Fast forward eleven years and here we sit with three beautiful biological children and not a penny in savings. Funny how life always seems to have a different plan than we do!

Still we couldn't deny that constant tug at our hearts to adopt. I have to admit we often feel like it will never happen. I mean it just doesn’t make sense. Here we sit with a tiny ranch house, one 10x10 room holding all three kids in a triple bunk bed, a leaky roof, and one vehicle you get the picture. It seemed like anything that could go wrong for us did. People would laugh and say you guys have some luck! Funny thing is they were right we did have some luck but through it all we have bonded strongly as a couple and a family in faith. We realize the important thing in life is not the size of your home, bank account, or the fancy vehicles you drive. We are together, bonded as a family, and hope to make a difference in the life of a child with special needs. So I ask you, are we crazy? Maybe we are. We are taking a leap of faith, depending on God, our family, our friends and believers in Christ to support us during this time. This dream is not possible without complete and total faith in the Lord. We believe he will open the doors and pave the way for us. If it's meant to be, it will be. We believe that nothing could be more fulfilling for our family than this child and our journey in faith to get her. My he work a miracle for all to see!
